On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement regarding President Trump’s executive order that aims to eradicate gender affirming care for transgender youth in the United Staes. Bonta’s statement assures California citizens that our state will be a safe haven for trans youth, and assures us that our rights are protected under our state laws. Below are resources his administration have provided.

Complaints asserting any violations related to enforcement of the Executive Order can be filed with the California Attorney General’s Office here or the California Civil Rights Department here. In addition, California has a number of resources for the LGBTQ+ community:
