Trans Program

Our Transgender Program began in 2016 as a dream of Dana Galante, the parent of a trans child. She met weekly with youth, parents, and held space for trans and nonbinary individuals. Now, our program is trans-led and run continuing to support our transgender and gender-expansive community with peer support, resources, and events.

Transcending Gender Group

This group is open to trans, gender non-conforming, and nonbinary folks. Join our group to meet others and build a stronger community together!

Kings County Pop Up

The Source hosts Peer Support groups in Hanford at Kings County Behavioral Health three times a month! Our transgender peer support group is open to all trans, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and questioning individuals to find community.
Our general LGBTQ+ peer support group is open to everyone in the queer community, and trans folks are encouraged to attend!

Game Night

Game Night is a great chance to meet new friends and have some fun! Hosted by the trans program but open to everyone.

Shared Spaces (Rainbow Support Network)

Rainbow Support Network is a place for parents and loved ones LGBTQ+ individuals. This group meets once a month and is a great resource for families to learn skills of affirmation and acceptance while building a support system for themselves and their loved one.
This group meets as a part of Shared Spaces with Lil’ Sourcerors. Parents and allies are welcome to attend Rainbow Support Network, even if they don’t have a youth attending Lil’ Sourcerors.

Gender Affirmation Station

Our Gender Affirmation Station (G.A.S) is a resource for transgender individuals to access free clothing, hygiene, and gender affirming items.
If you are a client of our programs or services, you can access the closet during our drop-in hours:
Tues - Fri 2:00PM - 6:00PM

Transgender Day of Visibility

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice.
Transgender Awareness Week

Transgender Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around the issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.
Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
